• SB 568 – Support deleting the religious exemption for vaccines – we advocated for this issue last year.
• SB 527 – Support ADL”s Backspace Hate legislation which deals with on-line harassment.
• SB 363 – Attorney General Office creating a Civil Rights division – we supported this last year.
• SB 55 – Supporting legislation stating racism is a public health crisis.
• HB 5949 – An act concerning state employees and equitable holidays.
• SB-249 – An act concerning the inclusion of Native American studies in the social studies curriculum.
• HB 5223 – An act increasing access to feminine hygiene products in middle school and high school restrooms.
• Push the Governor to make appointments to the Hate Crimes Advisory Council
Budget Implications
• Support Community Services line item under DSS budget – Additional state dollars for Citizenship classes – the money goes to Greenwich and New Haven Federations, Jewish Family Services of Stamford, IRIS and other organizations.
• HB 5649 – An act authorizing bonds of the state for the nonprofit grant program.
