Community Spotlights
A core pillar of Jewish Federations’ community relations strategy rests on strengthening interfaith and intergroup ties. One such example of this work on the ground is The Jewish United Fund of Chicago (JUF) mission to Poland for Evangelical Christian leaders, aimed at instilling a greater understanding of the depth and breadth of European Jewry and strengthening relations between the Christian and Jewish communities. Read more about this initiative in this week’s impact blog.
Communications
Have local or national comms questions or need strategy support? Please reach out to Niv Elis, AVP of Communications or Kelley Quinn, Director of Press Relations
Government Affairs
Aaron Kaufman, JFNA’s Senior Manager of Public Affairs, is available for on-site consultations as part of his role to support the capacity of Federations and partner agencies in their journeys towards full inclusion of people with disabilities. He can assist you or a partner agency in any inclusion effort and is adept at navigating attitudinal barriers and shifting misconceptions about people with disabilities. Please contact Aaron Kaufman with questions or to schedule a visit.
Grant Opportunities
The Natan Fund is launching a new grant opportunity, Natan Quick Funds: Grassroots Efforts, to provide microgrants of up to $5,000 to grassroots volunteer-led initiatives that address the upsurge in local antisemitism. Jewish Federations of North America are proud to partner in making this opportunity available and to provide additional community mobilization resources. Please share this information, along with the application, with relevant community organizations.
